A
note on seeds from 'named variants'; nursery bought/mass produced
clones and diversity:
The
seeds
from 'named variants' do not often reproduce exact replicas of the
cultivar (cv.) from which they derive. However the seedling progeny of
cultivars are quite often superior plant material.
The
offspring of species (sp.) can also be expected to show interesting
divergence/phenotypical variation resulting from open pollination; not
the case in mass produced clones.
